Ready to share and help other families grow
Hello! My husband and I have been married for 10 years next month and endured several losses on our journey to our family. We have a 16 month old son through IVF and a daughter conceived while preparing for FET. She is one month old. I'm 42 and he's 46 and our 4 remaining embryos were created when I was 40 and he was 44. We went through so much to get to our family and we very much want our embryos to have a chance at a life. We also want to help couples/an individual that have/has an understanding of how lucky it is to become parents.
We are committed to either finding an adoptive family or individual on our own or working with an agency that does not discriminate. I identify as bi but this is important to both of us. We are interested in an open adoptions in which our children could know their sibilants and she could know about and see them grow up.
I am a master's level social worker licensed as a clinician but working in disability justice. My husband is a graphic designer and former vocational education teacher.
We are incredibly outdoorsy and love to kayak, bike, and mountain bike. We are both certified master naturalists and volunteer with our local parts and land conservancy to spread information and help with invasive species removal. We met online so we believe in the real possibilities of finding recipient matches online as well. I love to read and am an avid yogi. My husband loves all things related to airplanes, birds, and space, builds models and previously flew radio controlled airplanes and taught birding 101 for our state parks system. He also plays hockey.
I'm actively involved in progressive causes and have volunteered widely but now with young children, focus on access to healthcare and women's issues.
Access to quality education is important to us as is an emotionally supportive and stable home life. We do not at all believe in physical punishment and do believe in vaccinations on time using the CDC guidelines. We would expect similar beliefs in adoptive individuals/couples.
We would like to talk to interested recipients to learn more about you, share more about us, and find the right match. We have four well-rated embryos. We transferred 3 to get our son.
We do have health conditions that run in our families and we are happy to discuss all of these with prospective recipients.
