4 embryos to offer in open donation in/around Portland, OR
We are a married couple in our 40’s with four 5-day blastocysts we’d like to offer for an open embryo donation to an individual or couple of any race, gender, or sexual orientation. We started with 8 embryos of great quality to donate. Three years ago we connected with a couple and created an open embryo donation relationship. They transferred two of the embryos and had a healthy baby girl. They did not want to pursue any further pregnancies so as per our contract, the remaining 6 embryos reverted back to us. We then posted an ad for the remaining 6 embryos on this site about two years ago, and formed an open donation relationship with a second couple. They also used two embryos and had a healthy baby girl. Their family is complete, so the remaining four embryos came back to us and we are once again in the position of connecting with a new recipient(s). We are in touch with both families and see them on occasion. They all knew that our intention was to donate any remaining embryos to a new person or couple in an open embryo donation relationship, and they are supportive of this.

Hobbies/Interests/Other info (Please also clarify any answers from above or include any info you would like to share)
We have two priorities that guide us in this process. We are most concerned with finding someone who is committed to an open donation relationship. To us, that includes seeing each other yearly (or more if desired) and committing to a philosophy in which the recipient family tells any children born of the donated embryos about their genetic history and story of conception. We have this arrangement with the couples who have a child born of our embryos, and it’s working out beautifully. Our children are completely informed about this process and they’ve met the other recipient families multiple times. We are committed to keeping them informed once we connect with a new recipient person/couple.
Our second priority is location. Because we want the opportunity to meet in person, we are only considering a recipient from the Portland, OR area or within a reasonable driving distance. Recipients outside this geographic area are unfortunately not a good match; we wish you well.
